Hello. I'm a photography in MI, and I was wondering what you considered the best Photo Software program to use and purchase.

Thanks for stopping by Photographers Forum, but we're along way away if you're looking for a club.  You might find these links useful:
www.swmccc.org  The Southwestern Michigan Council of Camera Clubs
www.gdccc.org  Greater Detroit Camera Club Council
www.photo.net  Online photographic community

The gold standard in professional image editing is Adobe Photoshop.   But this blanket answer may not suit your needs and ignores other categories of photo software, eg. RAW converters, cataloging programs, etc.  Your best solution is to either connect with a local camera club, or join a dedicated online community who can help you determine what might be best for you based on your needs, skill level, and how much you're willing to spend.

This website is the online portal for our geographically based community.  So, if you ever move to our area, come to a meeting and check us out.

Enjoy your photography,
MK
